Einride Launches Strategic Partnership with NVIDIA

Swedish company Einride announced in a press release that it is entering into a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to further develop autonomous truck transportation using NVIDIA Hyperion. The strategic partnership is intended to accelerate Einride’s efforts in autonomous truck transportation on highways and in suburban areas.

Einride will adapt the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform for heavy-duty trucking and work directly with NVIDIA to further develop the platform’s architecture so that it meets the requirements for heavy-duty freight transport. By building the next generation of its proprietary autonomous driving system, Einride Driver, on the NVIDIA Hyperion platform, Einride can scale up the use of autonomous vehicles in a transportation network that already serves customers today.

“We have the customers, the operational experience, and the technology. By building the next generation of Einride Driver on the NVIDIA Hyperion platform, we can scale up the use of autonomous vehicles in a transportation network that already serves customers today,” says Henrik Green, CTO at Einride.

“Autonomous trucking represents one of the clearest opportunities to improve safety and efficiency in global freight transport,” says Rishi Dhall, Vice President of the Automotive Business on NVIDIA and continues:

– By building on NVIDIA Hyperion with the NVIDIA Halos safety system and leveraging the NVIDIA Cosmos and Blackwell infrastructure, Einride can accelerate the development and validation of its autonomous driving technology and scale up its deployment across its growing transportation network.

Since its founding in 2016, Einride has faced numerous challenges. The company’s significant investments in its autonomous driving technology, electrification, and its proprietary digital platform, Saga, resulted in a loss of 1.3 billion kronor in 2023. The following year, Einride therefore sought additional financing to manage its short-term liquidity, and in the fall of 2024, major staff cuts were implemented. Since June 2026, the company’s stock has been listed on the Nasdaq in the U.S. On its first day of trading, the stock was valued at $34, but has since fallen sharply and, as of September 22, is trading at $3.65.
