Coop Sverige AB has appointed Klas Pettersson as the new CEO of Coop Logistik AB. Klas will assume his position on January 4, 2027, and will also become a member of the executive management team at Coop Sverige AB. Kristoffer Widén will serve as interim CEO from September 1 until Klas takes office.
Coop Logistics is responsible for the central flow of goods to approximately 800 stores nationwide and is one of the most business-critical functions within Coop. The logistics network is one of the most advanced in the Nordic region and includes, among other facilities, the highly automated national distribution center in Eskilstuna and the central frozen-food distribution center in Enköping.
Klas Pettersson has extensive and solid experience in senior positions within the grocery retail industry, supply chain, and logistics. He most recently comes from the ICA Group, where he has served as Logistics Director for Apotek Hjärtat since 2015. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles at ICA Sweden Logistics and worked as a management consultant in supply chain management.

As CEO of Coop Logistik, Klas Pettersson will be responsible for further developing supply chain management, making full use of automation, and promoting sustainable transportation and warehousing solutions in close collaboration with Coop’s consumer cooperatives.

To ensure continuity and a smooth transition until Klas Pettersson takes office on January 4, 2026, Kristoffer Widén has been appointed interim CEO of Coop Logistik. Kristoffer has over 20 years of experience in senior positions within retail and supply chain management. Kristoffer Widén will assume his interim position on September 1.
