The Nordic countries have agreed on a joint declaration on supply security. Together, these countries have a stronger capacity to ensure access to essential goods and services during peacetime crises, security crises, and, ultimately, war.
Through this enhanced cooperation, a coordinated and resilient Nordic preparedness framework will be developed to ensure the continued functioning of production, logistics, distribution, and trade even during serious crises, security tensions, and, in the worst-case scenario, war.
– A resilient society is built on strong preparedness for supply security. Through closer cooperation among our Nordic neighbors, we strengthen the entire Nordic region and become better at preventing and managing disruptions, strengthening our resilience, and ensuring that people and businesses have access to the goods and services they need, even during serious crises, says Minister of Civil Defense Carl-Oskar Bohlin.
The Nordic Declaration on Supply Security was signed on September 2, 2026, during the Nordic Supplies Summit, an annual meeting of the Nordic network for supply security.
