The logistics arm of restaurant wholesaler Martin & Servera has commissioned forklift and logistics company Toyota Material Handling Sweden to help the company streamline its operations, increase efficiency, and thereby reduce costs. The partnership agreement that has been signed also covers service for all of Martin & Servera’s forklifts nationwide—currently about 800, most of which are warehouse forklifts. The overall purpose of the partnership agreement is to jointly streamline Martin & Servera’s internal material handling—including through automated forklift solutions—support the order-picking process, and standardize the forklift fleet as a whole.

The companies place a high priority on sustainable development and safety. Well-functioning internal logistics are a key prerequisite for Martin & Servera’s efforts toward sustainable deliveries and a reduced carbon footprint. Toyota’s energy-efficient lithium-ion batteries help reduce Martin & Servera’s carbon footprint.
