Duncan Angove Named New CEO of Blue Yonder

Blue Yonder, a specialist in supply chain software, has appointed Duncan Angove as its new CEO following the resignation of Giri Rishi earlier this year. The company’s owner, Panasonic Holdings Corp., is now preparing for a potential initial public offering of the business, to further accelerate the company's growth.

Duncan Angove served as President of the software provider Infor from 2010 to 2018 (2010–2018), and he has previously held senior positions at companies including the software firm Oracle, where he was responsible for retail and served as Chief Strategy Officer, and at the technology company Retek, where he was head of retail. Most recently, Angove comes from the technology-focused venture capital firm Arcspring, which he co-founded in 2019. Duncan Angove also serves on the board of Honeywell, one of the world’s largest industrial conglomerates, which is increasingly transforming into a pure-play technology and software company focused on the Internet of Things (IoT).

– We are convinced that Duncan’s extensive track record at growing companies such as Infor, Oracle, and Retek, as well as his experience in supply chain management and working with customers, make him the right leader to take Blue Yonder’s growth and innovation to the next level,” said Yasu Higuchi, CEO of Panasonic Connect and Chairman of the Board at Blue Yonder.

Panasonic acquired Blue Yonder last year for $7.1 billion. The purpose of the acquisition was to add digital supply chain services to Panasonic’s product portfolio within the Panasonic Connect business unit. In May, Panasonic Connect stated that a potential initial public offering (IPO) for Blue Yonder could be on the table, with the aim of accelerating the company’s global growth.
