The infrastructure company iBoxen continues to rapidly build a vendor-neutral delivery box network throughout Sweden. To further accelerate the pace of infrastructure development and strengthen the organization, the company has recruited Carl-Anders Keller as Chief Operating Officer, thereby continuing to attract highly skilled employees.
Carl-Anders Keller has many years of experience in sales, customer service, product development, and business development. He also has extensive knowledge of e-commerce and logistics, gained in part from his time at DHL Freight Sweden, where he served as Director of Sales and Marketing. He most recently served as Director of Sales at Postnord. Carl-Anders will be responsible for iBox’s operations and will begin his new role on October 18.
– iBoxen is currently the only independent operator that does not compete with its own delivery services but instead focuses solely on expanding, managing, and developing a nationwide infrastructure of delivery boxes. By 2026, every Swedish household will have a delivery box near their home or along their daily route. We need to pick up the pace even further, and I look forward to doing so together with Calle and the rest of the team,” says Tim Jörnsen, CEO of iBoxen.
On an average day, approximately 1.2 million packages are shipped in Sweden* today, and within a couple of years, that number will double—to just over 2 million packages per day. Increased e-commerce volumes mean more packages and more deliveries.
– To handle the growing volume of packages and ensure that the impact on society remains positive in the future, investments are needed in new and improved delivery box infrastructure. “I’m really looking forward to working with my new colleagues at iBoxen, retailers, municipalities, property owners, and the logistics industry to contribute to a more sustainable logistics chain,” says Carl-Anders Keller.
The nationwide network of delivery boxes that iBoxen is expanding is available to everyone around the clock. In practical terms, this means that all residents of Sweden will soon be able to pick up, send, and return their packages via a delivery box near their home or other central locations—regardless of where they shop or which carrier delivers their items. The majority of Sweden’s logistics companies have already partnered with iBoxen, which means their customers (e-retailers) can offer their customers more convenient delivery options.
