Körber Supply Chain Opens a New Office in Sweden

Körber Supply Chain is opening a new office in Gothenburg to handle the growing sales of automation solutions for warehousing and logistics in the Nordic region.

The demand for fast and secure handling of an ever-increasing number of products is driving the need for automation solutions in warehouses and logistics centers across the Nordic region, and growing demand for Körber Supply Chain’s services has led the company to open an office in Kungsbacka, outside Gothenburg. The new office will both serve existing customers and develop new markets among customers in need of automated logistics solutions.

– Körber Supply Chain offers not only comprehensive solutions involving software, full automation, and control, but also smaller-scale solutions where we help customers identify bottlenecks and automate sub-processes. Körber’s great strength is that its solutions are not dependent on specific products or technologies. We tailor our solutions to help customers achieve their future goals and overcome their challenges, and I look forward to promoting this approach more widely in Scandinavia,” says Hans Gjers, Area Sales Manager, who, together with Kristian Brink—also an Area Sales Manager—will lead sales in the Nordic region.

AI Increases Uptime for Automation
Körber Supply Chain provides automated logistics solutions and equipment to some of the world’s most well-established companies, including Coca-Cola, JYSK, and Procter & Gamble. Among the company’s flagship products is the patented Layer Picker, which can handle 98 percent of all retail goods. The company is also currently marketing a suite of digital tools based on artificial intelligence.

“We look forward to presenting all of our digital products, which—among other things—reduce the number of unplanned downtime incidents, improve master data, and can lower energy consumption, so that we can support our customers in achieving their climate goals. “These solutions align well with trends in the Scandinavian markets and will help raise Körber’s profile in the Nordic region,” says Kristian Brink.

Both Hans and Kristian have many years of experience in warehousing and logistics solutions, and they see great potential in Körber Supply Chain’s solutions in the Scandinavian market.

– The logistics industry faces challenges such as an increasing number of SKUs, more e-commerce, a greater focus on sustainability, and greater unpredictability in global supply chains, while at the same time it is difficult to find the necessary workforce in many places. Körber’s solutions address many of these challenges, and we are now looking forward to introducing these solutions to the Scandinavian markets—both by visiting customers and, for example, by exhibiting at Logistik & Transport in Gothenburg this November,” says Kristian.
