PostNord is now launching a pilot program in which 100 package lockers will be tested at various locations in Stockholm. During the trial period, the lockers will be located in Huddinge, on Lidingö, and in the city of Stockholm.. PostNord is thus taking on competitors such as Instabox, DHL, Budbee, and Bring, which have already launched solutions for deliveries to lockers with digital locks.
“The pilot locations are now in place, and we’re seeing a lot of interest from many partners. Initially, we’ll focus the locations on areas around Stockholm to evaluate the pilot in a limited area.” If the pilot is successful, we see it as a good delivery option for more parts of Sweden, both in urban areas and in rural areas,” says Helena Sjöberg, Business Developer for Last Mile at PostNord Sweden.
The pilot's partners include real estate companies such as Einar Mattsson, HSB, Akademiska Hus, Huddinge Municipality, Vasakronan, and Stockholms Stads Parkering, as well as retail companies such as Circle K, Lidl, COOP, ICA, and Axfood.
