The logistics company Speed Group continues to automate its warehouses. Following the project in Gothenburg, the company’s massive warehouse in Borås is next in line to install an AutoStore system from Element Logic—an installation consisting of 20,000 bins and with room for expansion.
– Just as we did during our previous automation initiative, we want to streamline operations and replace the picking process with robots. “AutoStore is a goods-to-man solution that we truly believe in, and since the facility will also be equipped with solar panels on the roof, not only will the robot operations be self-sufficient, but so will the entire business,” says Jesper Andersson, Director of Business Development at Speed Group AB, adding:

AutoStore aligns well with our climate goals because the system is both highly energy-efficient and can be powered by our solar power plant. It’s also important that AutoStore is such a reliable solution with excellent uptime and extremely few downtimes. And at Speed Group, we really appreciate that it’s very easy to expand the system without having to shut down operations.
Speed Group is one of Sweden’s largest warehousing companies, with approximately 170,000 square meters of logistics space and just over 1,000 employees. The company was founded in Borås, where it operates the largest 3PL facility in the Nordic region, but it now also has operations in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
