ST Logistics Launches STL Sweden and Introduces Its AMR Solutions

ST Logistics was founded in 2022 through a partnership between Geek+ and SystemTeknik. The jointly owned company is now ready to introduce its autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to the Swedish market as well.

Following a successful launch of its AMR solutions in the Danish market, it is now time for ST Logistics to expand into Sweden. Johan Nordström has been appointed sales manager of the newly established STL Sverige AB.

“I’m thrilled to take on this opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to being part of this journey alongside all my colleagues and partners. I look forward to contributing to STL Sverige AB’s development and, together with our team, growing and building long-term relationships in the market,” says Johan Nordström, who will be based in Landvetter. Johan has over 25 years of experience in logistics, sales, and business development, as well as a solid track record in automation, e-commerce, transportation, and supply chain management.

Growing Market

The Swedish market for AMR is growing rapidly, driven by technological advances, increased demands for efficiency, and a strong national focus on sustainability and digitalization. AMR solutions are primarily used in warehousing and logistics operations to optimize picking and transport, but are also widely used in manufacturing and the healthcare sector. Several factors are driving demand for AMR solutions in Sweden, including labor shortages, sustainability goals, and the rapid growth of e-commerce. Advances in AI, IoT, and 5G have also made AMR solutions more flexible and adaptable, expanding their potential applications. Despite regulatory challenges and the need for standardization, the Nordic AMR market is expected to grow by 20–25 % annually through 2030, with Sweden expected to lead the way, according to ST Logistics.
