Körber Accelerates AI Innovation for Supply Chain and Logistics with NVIDIA

In a press release, Körber states that the company has entered into a technology partnership with NVIDIA to accelerate innovation in the automation and logistics industries. The partnership combines Körber’s extensive industry expertise and data with NVIDIA’s advanced AI and simulation technologies.

As part of this collaboration, Körber will use NVIDIA Omniverse Libraries to create accurate digital twins of warehouses and logistics facilities. The digital twins reflect the characteristics of the physical world and enable a new level of intelligence, efficiency, and speed in the development of complex logistics systems.

Transforming Logistics with Physical AI

At the heart of this collaboration lies the application of physical AI—that is, AI systems that understand and interact with the physical world through physics-based simulations. Using digital twins built with NVIDIA Omniverse Libraries, Körber can replicate real-world warehouse flows with realistic precision and incorporate data from decades of experience in logistics and distribution. This enables scenario testing, rapid prototyping, and even the training of advanced robotics—including humanoids for warehouses and distribution centers—before they are deployed in an operational facility.

A Strategic Acceleration

This partnership offers significant benefits to Körber’s customers in the pharmaceutical industry, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), the food industry, courier, express, and parcel delivery (CEP), retail, and e-commerce in the following areas:

  • Innovation – faster prototyping and testing of new logistics solutions in virtual environments.
  • Efficiency – reliable simulation of complex scenarios such as peak loads, system failures, and layout changes.
  • Scalability – reuse of digital simulation models in various operations around the world.

– Working with NVIDIA marks a pivotal moment for Körber and the supply chain industry. By integrating NVIDIA’s groundbreaking AI and simulation capabilities with our deep operational expertise, we are redefining what intelligent logistics can achieve and delivering scalable, adaptable, and future-proof solutions to our global customers, says Helena Garriga, member of Körber’s Executive Board and President of the Supply Chain Business Area.

Körber is developing AI, automation, and simulation across the entire organization. Scalable digital models and proven methods are being gradually rolled out to more areas to strengthen innovation and customer value.

– The digital twins we’re developing together with NVIDIA represent a major step forward for our customers. They make it possible to design, simulate, and optimize complex operations in a completely virtual environment, long before any hardware is installed. In this way, we shorten the path from concept to deployment, enable faster and more confident decision-making, and deliver measurable performance improvements. “This partnership underscores our commitment to creating lasting value for our customers and marks yet another important step on our journey into the future with LIFE 2035,” says Stephan Seifert, CEO of Körber.
