Swisslog has signed an agreement with Peab Fastighetsutveckling for a new, modern Nordic headquarters in Gamlestads Smedja, located in the dynamic Gamlestaden neighborhood in central Gothenburg. The new premises are a key piece of the puzzle in Swisslog’s continued growth and appeal as an employer.
– With Gamlestads Smedja, we’ve found an office that aligns with our identity and creates the conditions for an even more efficient way of working. The area offers excellent transportation links, which we see as a key factor in being an attractive employer. The new office provides us with excellent conditions to continue our growth journey in the Nordic region,” says Johan Kristofferson, Head of Sales Nordic and Managing Director Nordic at Swisslog.
The newly built, bright office building consists of a total of 13,000 square meters spread over eight floors, with Swisslog occupying the entire seventh floor, which is approximately 1,600 square meters.
“The new offices will give us great potential for continued growth and, not least, a positive and inspiring environment that fosters a stronger sense of teamwork and creativity,” Kristofferson notes.
Gamlestads Smedjan has a strong sustainability profile and is environmentally certified under BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) at the "Excellent" level; it will be equipped with solar panels and a biotope roof, also known as a green roof.
– We’re pleased that Swisslog has chosen to locate its office in Gamlestads Smedja. “We’ve had a productive and close dialogue, and we’re tailoring the office space to their future needs,” says Martin Törsäter, Project Manager at Peab Fastighetsutveckling, part of Peab, one of the Nordic region’s leading construction and real estate companies.
Swisslog is expected to move into its new facilities in January 2025.
