The TMS company pinDeliver has been awarded a contract in the City of Uppsala’s procurement process for digital support; the award pertains to the logistics category and includes a system to support the city’s coordinated goods distribution.
The City of Uppsala carries out a large number of deliveries each year to schools, preschools, senior living facilities, and other operations. The contracted solution is intended to support planning, route optimization, traceability, and monitoring of the municipality’s transportation operations, as well as to contribute to efficient and coordinated distribution. The award decision was announced on January 30, 2026. The contract will run for the agreed-upon term.
“For us, it’s important to have a system that provides a clear overview of the planning, execution, and follow-up of our transportation operations. “The solutions we have now procured create better conditions for structure and traceability in our transportation operations,” says Jessica Paulsen, head of the Vehicle and Transportation Services Department at the City of Uppsala.
The solution from pinDeliver will be used by the municipality’s internal distribution center, Transportservice, and will be integrated with the municipality’s other support systems. The focus is on creating structure, transparency, and better control in the logistics flow—from planning to completed delivery.
”This is an important and strategic deal for us. We are proud to have won the contract and look forward to playing a central role in the development of Uppsala Municipality’s coordinated goods distribution,” says Patrik Thelandersson, CEO of pinDeliver.
Growing Presence Among the Country's Largest Municipalities
This contract means that pinDeliver will continue to grow in the area of coordinated goods distribution in the public sector. Several of Sweden’s largest municipalities currently use pinDeliver’s system, either through direct agreements with municipalities or via carriers that make deliveries using the platform.
“We’ve been working with municipal transport flows since 2016 through carriers contracted by municipalities, and we’ve been involved for a long time in the development of digital support for coordinated goods distribution.” That’s why it’s especially exciting to now have a direct agreement with a municipality that manages its own logistics,” concludes Thelandersson.
