It has now been confirmed that Dagab has selected Knapp as the supplier of a fully automated shuttle system, which is intended to streamline operations and increase capacity at Dagab’s new warehouse in Landskrona.
In Landskrona, Dagab is investing in a 37,000-square-meter distribution center for the delivery of fruits and vegetables to stores throughout the country. Dagab is responsible for store deliveries and logistics processes across the entire Axfood Group.

Dagab will use Knapp’s FAST (Fully Automated Standard Tray Picking) solution at its new distribution center. Among other things, it will consist of palletizing and stacking machines, as well as the OSR Shuttle™ Evo picking and storage system. The shuttle robots store, buffer, and pack everything in store-specific order. This ensures that store staff receive a seamless delivery where the goods are arranged according to the store’s layout.
“The Fast solution automates the entire process. All handling, picking, and packing are handled automatically; human intervention is required only for incoming and outgoing shipments, which ensures error-free order processing,” says Mikael Holmqvist, Managing Director at Knapp AB.
Dagab will also use Knapp’s software, KiSoft, which ensures that the automation solutions work together to pick an order as quickly and smoothly as possible. The software also ensures that the most frequently ordered products are placed in the best locations in the aisles. This streamlines the processes, enabling Dagab to handle up to 55,000 units per day.

The warehouse in Landskrona is expected to be completed in 2024, and Dagab has previously used solutions from Knapp at its distribution center in Jönköping, which supplies 600 stores with fresh produce.
