The Lexit Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Idnet AB. Following the acquisition, the Lexit Group will have annual revenue of approximately one billion NOK and around 240 employees in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. With this acquisition, the Group will become a leader in data capture and digitization solutions in Scandinavia., according to a press release.
The Lexit Group provides integrated solutions, equipment, and products in its three business areas: data capture & digitization, industrial coding & marking, and labels & packaging.
The data capture and digitization business will essentially double once Idnet becomes part of the group. Idnet, headquartered in Gothenburg, operates primarily in Sweden, where it helps its customers digitize and optimize processes in warehousing, logistics, and retail. As a subsidiary of Lexit Group, Idnet will continue to operate under its own brand.
“In Lexit, we’ve found the right partner with the right mix of complementary geographic coverage, solution portfolio, culture, and expertise,” says Peter Hallinger, CEO of Idnet.
In Sweden, data capture and digitization operations will be coordinated with Idnet. Lexit’s current Swedish subsidiary, Lexit Group Sweden, will focus on the other two business areas: industrial coding & marking, and labels & packaging. In Norway and Denmark, all of Lexit Group’s business areas are operated through joint ventures.
